Commonly
known as “The Bailer”, the Bail-O-Matic, has been a workhorse
for over 40 years. This machine automatically forms and inserts bails
(handles) on metal or plastic containers at an average speed of 50 per
minute. In the United States, the Bail-O-Matic is used to install about
95% of all bails put on paint cans and by most pail manufacturers as well.
Containers are fed along a conveyor into the machine where wire is formed into (bails) handles and attached to the containers simultaneously.
Our 1 Gallon Bail-O-Matic comes in two models, the “D” and “DS”. The Model “D” offers a mechanical update package addressing safety including interlocked guarding with swing out opening and easy lift off doors and new air springs, which eliminate any stored energy potential for operator safety. The Model “DS” includes all the mechanical updates of the Model “D” plus a completely new control package featuring PLC controls and a touchscreen and a servo-driven wire feed system insuring consistent wire length and eliminating the need for the Wire Check Assembly.

Our Large Container and Compact Bail-O-Matic is adjustable and automatically forms and inserts the handle and grip onto containers. It has a height adjustable main plate that can accommodate equal width containers of varying heights, typically 2 ½ to 7 gallons. This machine can be set up to interlock upstream equipment for index feeding. This is particularly useful when feeding the machine directly from pail molding equipment.

The machine (less the conveyor) is completely disassembled, repainted, parts, cleaned and inspected, and worn or broken parts replaced. Work is guaranteed and covers parts and labor for 90 days. The Rebuild Program includes installing new interlocking guards and “air springs”.
